Moisturisers

A moisturiser has one job that matters more than any other: holding on to what the rest of your routine has put in. Get the texture right for your skin and it stops feeling like a step you do out of habit. Get it wrong and it either sits greasy or does nothing.

Moisturisers

For oilier and congested skin, Oil Free Moisturizer and BHA Clarifying Gel Moisturizer stay light. For dry or dehydrated skin, HA-Revive Hyaluronic Hydrator and Restorative Cream give more. Phyto-Calm Aloe Hydrator is the calmer option when skin feels warm or reactive, and Barrier Balm is the small pot for patches that need shielding rather than a full face. Microbiome Restoring PM Moisturizer and Bio-Renew EGF Cream are the overnight end of the range, with Bio-Renew EGF Neck Cream extending it below the jaw. Vita E Essential Cream is the straightforward daily cream.

Where to start

Match the texture to how your skin feels now, not how it behaved five years ago. Most people need something lighter in summer and richer in winter.

Glo Skin Beauty moisturisers, curated by the clinicians at The London Road Clinic in Newark, Nottinghamshire, run from oil-free gels to rich overnight creams and barrier balms, so you can change texture with the season or while your skin is recovering, without changing the rest of your routine.

Frequently asked

Does oily skin need a moisturiser?

Yes. Skipping it tends to make oiliness worse, because skin that feels stripped often produces more. An oil-free gel gives you the water without the weight.

Which moisturiser should I use after a peel or microneedling?

Something plain, fragrance-free and comfortable, with no acids or retinol in it, until your skin has settled. Barrier Balm and the calmer hydrators are the usual suggestions. See the aftercare guide for your treatment.

Do I need a separate night cream?

Not necessarily. A richer texture at night suits most people, and an overnight formula is worth it if you want repair ingredients working while you sleep. One good cream used twice a day is still a proper routine.
