Putting the acid into the moisturiser solves a real problem. People with oily skin often skip moisturiser entirely, which drives the oil up, then use a strong acid to fix the result. One step that does both is more likely to be used properly. Note the pH is 3.5, so this is doing real work.

Usually not. This carries both a beta and an alpha hydroxy acid at pH 3.5 and you are using it twice a day, so you are already getting steady exfoliation. Adding a third acid is how people end up with a stripped, stinging barrier.
It is a gel, so it is light. If your skin tightens in cold weather, keep it for mornings and use a richer cream at night, or drop to once a day. The acids do not stop working because you use it less often.
No. Salicylic acid is chemically related to aspirin and this formula contains it. Ask us for an alternative rather than testing it.
It helps the look of congestion, oiliness and visible pores. It is a cosmetic moisturiser, not a treatment for acne. If your breakouts are painful, widespread or leaving marks, that needs looking at properly and we would rather see you than have you keep buying.
