BHA Clarifying Gel Moisturizer is a clarifying gel moisturiser combining lactic and salicylic acids with vegan bio-fermented technology to control breakouts, minimise pores, and balance oily or blemish-prone skin. Part of the Glo Skin Beauty Clarify + Balance range, distributed in the UK and Ireland by Glo Skin Beauty UK & Ireland.

Pores look more refined, skin feels balanced and less congested, and breakouts appear reduced with regular use. In an independent clinical study of 35 healthy female and male volunteers (average age 30 years), 100% reported the product absorbed quickly and felt non-greasy, 88% reported minimised pores, and 85% said it helps control breakouts, all after four weeks of daily use.

Lactic and salicylic acids work as a dual hydroxy acid complex, salicylic acid (BHA) penetrates the pore lining to clear congestion from within, while lactic acid (AHA) exfoliates at the skin surface, refines texture, and brightens. Vegan Bio-Fermented Technology delivers antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and phytonutrient benefits, supporting a healthier skin microbiome and a strengthened skin barrier, both key factors in managing breakout-prone skin. Marine Extracts (a skin-balancing complex) help repair the barrier, restore moisture, and lock in hydration. Contains natural fragrance (*Natural fragrance/Parfum naturel). Formula pH: 3.5.

Designed for all skin types with breakout or oiliness concerns. Non-comedogenic. Use AM and PM. Retail 50ml only.

Putting the acid into the moisturiser solves a real problem. People with oily skin often skip moisturiser entirely, which drives the oil up, then use a strong acid to fix the result. One step that does both is more likely to be used properly. Note the pH is 3.5, so this is doing real work.

Concern / context
A good fit
Better to wait or ask
Oily, congested skin
✓ Yes · salicylic inside the pore, lactic on top
Visible pores
✓ Yes · the concern this is built around
People who skip moisturiser
✓ Yes · one step instead of two
Non-comedogenic needs
✓ Yes · formulated and tested as non-comedogenic
Sensitive or reactive skin
pH 3.5 plus two acids. Too much. Choose a plain gel moisturiser
Aspirin allergy
Contains salicylic acid. Do not use
Pregnancy
Salicylic acid in skincare is a question for your midwife or GP, not for us

Key actives

Active What it does Why we use it
Salicylic acid A beta hydroxy acid that is oil-soluble, so it works inside the pore rather than only on the surface. Congestion sits in the pore, and a water-soluble acid never reaches it.
Lactic acid An alpha hydroxy acid working at the surface, refining texture and evening tone. Pairing the two covers the pore and the surface, which is why this reads as clearer skin rather than just less oil.
Bio-fermented complex with marine extracts Fermented actives and seaweed extracts used to support the barrier alongside the acids. An acid without barrier support is how oily skin ends up both greasy and flaking.

Results take time

First week
Skin feels less greasy by mid-afternoon and looks less shiny.
Week 3
••
Congestion around the nose and chin starts clearing.
Week 6 to 8
•••
Pores look more refined and the surface reads smoother under makeup.
If skin gets tight or flaky
Assess
Two acids twice a day is too much for some skin. Drop to evenings only. If it persists, come and see us.
