The instant glow is mica, and I would rather say that plainly than let people think it is the acid working in ten seconds. The lactic acid and the vitamin C are the part that changes the skin, and they take weeks. Both things can be true and the product is still a good one.

Key actives
| Active | What it does | Why we use it |
|---|---|---|
| Lactic acid, 1%Lactic Acid | A gentle alpha hydroxy acid that exfoliates the surface and holds water at the same time. | At 1% in a moisturiser it is a daily nudge, not a treatment. That is the point of it. |
| Stabilised vitamin C3-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid | An antioxidant form of vitamin C that supports a brighter, more even-looking tone. | This form is more stable than pure ascorbic acid, so it survives being in a cream. |
| Mineral luminosity complexMica, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, CI 77891 | Light-reflecting minerals that lift radiance from the moment it goes on. | An optical effect, not a skincare one. Worth knowing which part of the result is which. |

That is the mineral complex, mica and titanium dioxide, reflecting light off the surface. It is a real effect and it washes off. The lactic acid and vitamin C are the part that changes the skin underneath, over weeks.
Yes, if your skin is comfortable with it. If you are new to acids, start at night only, every other night, and build from there.
More than ever. Anything with an AHA in it increases sun sensitivity, and there is no point brightening tone in the evening and undoing it the next morning.
No artificial fragrance, but it does carry botanical oils including lavender, sandalwood and orange peel. Patch-test if you react to those.
