Skincare

Skincare is easier to buy when you start from the problem rather than the shelf. There are two ways in. By concern, if you know what you want to change. By format, if you know you need a cleanser and want the options side by side. Both routes lead to the same products.

Skincare

The ranges group by what you are working on. Clarify + Balance for congestion and breakouts, Brighten + Glow for uneven tone, Hydrate + Restore for dehydration, and Calm + Soothe for skin that reacts easily.

Where to start

A cleanser, a moisturiser and a daily SPF will do more for most people than a shelf of actives. Then add one active at a time, a fortnight apart, so you can tell what is helping.

Glo Skin Beauty skincare, curated by the clinicians at The London Road Clinic in Newark, Nottinghamshire, is grouped around the concern each range was built for. A small number of non-Glo items our team uses in clinic sit here too, including Clinisept+ Skin.

Frequently asked

Should I shop by concern or by product type?

By concern, if you are building a routine or changing one, because the ranges were put together to work as a set. Shop by type when you are replacing something specific and want to compare the options in that format.

How many products do I need?

Three or four, for most people. A cleanser, a moisturiser, a daily SPF, and one active aimed at whatever you most want to change. More than that tends to mean products working against each other.

Can I use more than one active at a time?

Sometimes, but build up to it. Retinol, AHAs and BHAs each ask something of the skin barrier, and stacking them from day one is the usual reason skin turns tight or pink. If you are part-way through a course of treatment, check with your practitioner first.
