Half the people who tell me their skin is dry are dehydrated instead, and the two need opposite things. Dry skin is short of oil. Dehydrated skin is short of water, and it happens to oily skin as often as anything else. If your face feels tight but still shines by lunchtime, this is the one to try before you reach for a heavier cream.

Key actives
| Active | What it does | Why we use it |
|---|---|---|
| Large-molecule hyaluronic acidHyaluronic Acid | The full-size molecule, which sits on the surface and holds water there. | Surface hydration is what makes skin look plump within minutes. It is the immediate half of the effect. |
| Small-molecule hyaluronic acidSodium Hyaluronate | A smaller form that travels further into the upper layers of the skin. | Using both sizes together is why this holds hydration for longer than a single-weight serum does. |
| Sweet iris cell extractIris Pallida Leaf Cell Extract | A plant cell extract that helps bind moisture to the skin and keep it there. | Drawing water in is easy. Holding it once the air is dry is the harder job, and this is the ingredient doing it. |

05 · Questions
Common questions
Dry skin lacks oil and tends to flake and feel rough. Dehydrated skin lacks water and feels tight while still producing oil. Oily skin is dehydrated more often than people expect. This serum addresses the water side. If you are short of oil as well, you need a richer moisturiser over the top.
Daily Hydration Drops is a straightforward everyday hydrator. This one uses two molecular weights of hyaluronic acid plus a cell extract and marine actives, so it holds hydration longer and does more for the look of fine lines. If tightness is persistent rather than occasional, this is the better fit.
Slightly damp. Hyaluronic acid pulls water towards itself, so giving it water to work with helps. Follow with a moisturiser to seal it in, particularly in winter or in an air-conditioned office.
Yes. Morning and evening is fine, and in cold or heated environments most people notice the difference from using it twice rather than once.
