GlyPro AHA Resurfacing Cleanser is a resurfacing foaming cleanser with 10% glycolic acid that supports cell turnover and visibly refines skin texture. Part of the Glo Skin Beauty Resurface + Smooth range, distributed in the UK and Ireland by Glo Skin Beauty UK & Ireland.

What It Does

With regular use, skin appears smoother and more refined, with a visible improvement in the appearance of pores, fine lines, and uneven texture. The formulation works with each cleanse to progressively resurface the skin's surface over time.

Key Actives

10% Glycolic Acid at pH 2.2 is a high-performance AHA that supports cell turnover, helping to dissolve the bonds between dead skin cells and improve the appearance of fine lines, enlarged pores, and uneven tone. Aloe Vera is a soothing anti-inflammatory that calms and cools the skin, helping to balance the resurfacing action. Green Tea Extract (Camellia Sinensis) is a botanical antioxidant that helps protect the skin from environmental stressors and supports a healthier-looking complexion.

Who It Suits

Suitable for all skin types except sensitive or reactive skin. Not recommended for broken or recently exfoliated skin. Use once daily or as tolerated, up to five times per week. This cleanser contains Bergamot Fruit Oil, a naturally occurring aromatic; it is free of artificial fragrance but is not fragrance-free. Always follow with broad-spectrum SPF during the day, as glycolic acid may increase photosensitivity. Available from Glo Pro clinics in the UK and Ireland.

Ten percent glycolic at pH 2.2 in a cleanser is unusual and I want people to take it seriously. It is a short contact time, which is what makes it workable, but the strength is real. If you have rosacea, active eczema or reactive skin, this is not your cleanser and no amount of building up slowly changes that.

Key actives

Active What it does Why we use it
Glycolic acid at 10%Glycolic Acid The smallest alpha hydroxy acid, at 10% and a pH of 2.2, so it works quickly during a short contact. Small molecule and low pH is what makes a rinse-off product capable of resurfacing at all.
Aloe veraAloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice Powder A soothing botanical that calms and cools during the cleanse. It is there to take the edge off the acid, and it is why this is tolerable daily for the right skin.
Green tea extractCamellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract A botanical antioxidant that helps defend against environmental stress. Freshly resurfaced skin is more exposed. An antioxidant in the same step is sensible formulation.

Results take time

First use
Skin feels notably smoother straight after rinsing.
Week 3
••
Texture evens out and makeup goes on more smoothly.
Week 8 to 12
•••
Pores look refined and the surface holds its smoothness between cleanses.
If skin stings or flakes
Assess
Cut back to two or three times a week and use a barrier balm. If it carries on, this is the wrong cleanser for you and we will say so.
