Mandelic is the acid I like most for breakout-prone skin, because its molecule is large and slow and that suits skin that is already inflamed. Putting it at 20% alongside salicylic gets into the pore and onto the surface at the same time. What it will not do is treat acne, and if that is what you have, come and see us rather than working through kits.

No, and we would rather say so plainly. It is a cosmetic peel that helps the look of congestion, oil and visible pores, and the marks left after a breakout. Acne is a medical condition with medical treatments, and working through peel kits while it spreads costs you time. If your breakouts are widespread, painful or scarring, come and see us.
Mandelic has a much larger molecule, so it works more slowly and more evenly. On skin that is already inflamed, that is an advantage. Glycolic goes deeper and faster, which suits texture and pores on calmer skin. That is why these are two different kits rather than one.
No. Salicylic acid is chemically related to aspirin and this kit contains it. Choose the Hydra-Bright kit instead, or ask us before you buy.
A purifying cleanser and, if your skin takes it, a gentle leave-on exfoliant on the nights you are not treating. Stop both for a week either side of the peel itself.
